I want you to know that the Great Ape Protection and Cost Savings Act (GAPSCA—S.810) is at a critical juncture. Tomorrow, Wednesday, July 25th, the committee in which the bill rests will be meeting to "mark up" the bill…an essential step to getting the bill to the full Senate floor for a vote.
YOUR Senator needs to hear from you NOW. PLEASE email or call them (even if you already have!) to let them know that you are asking for their support in passing GAPCSA. This bipartisan legislation will end invasive research on chimpanzees, save tax payers millions of dollars and retire all government-owned chimpanzees to sanctuaries.
Please make a brief, polite phone call or send an email NOW to your Senator asking him/her to SUPPORT the Great Ape Protection and Costs Savings Act to get out of committee and when it gets to the Senate floor.
PLEASE ACT NOW. Your support means all the difference in the world in how your Senator votes.
